La Alhambra restaura piezas únicas de vidrio de la época nazarí
El Patronato de la Alhambra y Generalife está realizando, durante estos últimos años, una valiosa labor de catalogación y restauración de la Colección de Vidrio de los fondos del Museo de la Alhambra. Algunas de ellas estarán presentes en la Exposición Matisse y la Alhambra, que tendrá lugar en el Palacio de Carlos V, del 15 de octubre de 2010 al 28 de febrero de 2011.
Entre las piezas intervenidas se encuentra un vaso que forma parte de una serie de piezas adquiridas en el Cairo en la década de 1950. Lo interesante es ver cómo la forma de este vaso oriental tiene como antecedentes en la Península Ibérica, algunos de los ejemplares procedentes de Madinat al-Zahra.
La restauración actual, realizada por Isabel Cambil, ha consistido, en primer lugar, en limpiar los restos de escayola antigua, mancha de adhesivo y demás suciedad acumulada.
Además, se han vuelto a unir los dos fragmentos que pertenecen a la pieza, y se ha completado una reintegración de la zona perdida, de manera que resulta completamente reversible.
